In 2024, Canobbio Textile made a new major intervention in the textile façade sector, signing a project for the headquarters of Cefla, a historic industrial company with international scope.
The new solar shading system was designed to optimize the energy performance and enhance the architectural aesthetics of two glazed buildings.
A project between technology and architectural integration
In collaboration with Studio TB of Imola, Canobbio Textile designed and built a textile façade integrated on existing metal structures, suitably modified. The intervention included the application of rhomboidal sails made of microperforated membrane Mesh FT371 with a metallic silver finish, a solution that can offer:
- Control of solar irradiance;
- High visual transparency;
- Harmonization with existing architectural language.
Technical characteristics of the intervention
The entire operation involved 1,000 m² of textile façade, divided into two operational phases. Canobbio Textile provided a complete package of services:
- Design and implementation of textile membranes;
- Tailor-made tensioning systems for each module;
- Auxiliary metalwork for dynamic stress management;
- Special anchor plates developed in accordance with current regulations and wind loads;
- Overhead assembly and energization by trained technical personnel.
An achievement in sustainability and efficiency
The result is a high-performance textile façade that helps improve the building’s energy efficiency and reinforce its visual identity. The project fully reflects the values that guide Canobbio Textile’s design approach: innovation, sustainability and construction quality.
With this new intervention, Canobbio Textile confirms itself as a benchmark in the textile architecture sector, capable of combining aesthetics, technical performance and environmental responsibility.
